Cute 'n' Cool Indeed

While browsing around some blogs looking at some lovley thing people are doing, I noticed one had a super cute free blog template. After clicking on the link I discovered this divine blog! Hence the new jazzed up template! There are heaps of really good quality templates here to choose from! Worth a look!

Week 1 - a little rusty

So this is what I have done for week 1 of my 52 weeks challenge. I'm a little rusty creatively and technique wise so these are pretty basic. This was the weekly challenge over on Helga's blog. The only catch, I didn't use anything recycled. But I did limit myself my only choosing collage elements from one of my ArtChix goodie bags. I found some cute seashell pics and the blue star scrap and just went from there. My flourish stamp looks a little like waves so I accented a couple of curves with glitter. I used some left over handmade paper for the base, it has rose petals embedded in it, you can just see them peeking out here and there, not really keeping with the sea theme, but it has such lovely texture. All in all a great little challenge to get my creative juices flowing again, stay tuned for more soon!

52 Challenge

Over on the beadingforum there has been some chatter about the 365 challenge. It is a personal challenge to create something every day for a year and post it to your blog for others to see how your going. I think this is a fabulous idea, yet don't feel that I can commit to one piece of creativity a day. So I am modifying the challenge a bit to suit my hectic lifestyle. And so I present to you the 52 Challenge, one creative piece will be posted each week. I obviously have some catching up to do! I plan to alternate between a bead orientated piece and a challenge from Helga's blog. Stay tuned for the creative onslaught!
